DECISIONS & TIMELINE

  • Priority decisions: June 12, 2026
  • Final decisions: September 18, 2026

We strongly encourage applying during the Spring (Priority) window, and is when the majority of applications are received and accepted. Applying during this time allows Teaching Artists and their organizations to plan ahead and align schedules and commitments for the upcoming program year.

The Fall window has fewer openings and is more competitive, making it a better fit for Teaching Artists or organizations still confirming schedules or staffing for the year.

If you apply during the Spring Early Decision window, but receive a “Deferred” status, this means your application will be reconsidered in the final round of review in September 2026. There is nothing further you need to do, and you will receive a final accepted/declined decision by September 18.
